RFID System for Respiratory Rate Monitoring

In this work, an RFID system was developed to monitor the respiratory rate. This monitoring based on variations in Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) by reader due movements. some breath measurement configurations, maximum read range greater than 1 m, which is distance considered configurations described scientific papers. The RSSI data, obtained reading tag, were processed using Daubechies wavelet of order 3 (db3) and considering three levels signal decomposition. Less noisy breathing signals measurements with participant seated tag polyethylene foam abdomen. frequencies acquired from parameter validated comparison results a vital monitor.
